Remote sensing kit - getting started

Congratulations on receiving your MK10 remote sensing kit.

With the MK10 Remote Sensing kit you can build a "remote or flight" station and a ground station, with data transmitted using LoRa radio technology.

Ideal for remote sensing in applications like wilderness monitoring, high altitude balloon (HAB) projects and CubeSat/ PocketQube engineering models.

The MaxIQ team is constantly updating sample code, yet we encourage you to visit the GitHub page to find Arduino libraries for the xChips in your kit.

Please watch this video as a guide.

We continuously develop Arduino libraries for the components in this kit so that you can get started fast (GitHub). The guide recommends that you begin with the weasther station application to understand the sensors, move on the the TinyGS ground station build to understand the radio communication and power requirements, and end with developing your own code for the flight/remote sensing station and ground station combinations.

This kit will build your engineering and trouble-shooting skills, it is our most complex kits and we do not hold your hand through this.

Changing the world isn't easy, and we couldn't do it alone.

A core value of MaxIQ is to be able to provide our educational resources to students around the globe, especially those who live in areas where there is a lack of educational infrastructure to support these young minds in achieving their full potential. MaxIQ wouldn't be able to fulfil our mission without support from...
